Příbram  - my hometown

Příbram is a city located in the Central Bohemian Region. The city is located 60 km southwest of Prague and lies on the river Litavka. There live over 30 thousand inhabitants. This city was mainly known for its mining history, but now it is also known for the Holy Mountain. There are a lot of supermarkets, clothing stores, banks, libraries and schools. In the main Square called T. G. M. stands the church of St. Jacob and new fountain, which we call the mayor in the bath. There is also a theatre, cinema and an aqua park. In the evening, when at the end of the week, we go to a nightclub to dance and let off steam.

The town of Příbram is located in Central Bohemia, 54 km from Prague. Its area ranks 3 position in the Central Bohemia region. The city consists of 18 parts. The city is very cultural and beautiful. There live over 34 000 inhabitants. The first actual mentioning about Příbram, originated from the year 1216. At the end of the 13th century, the silver was mined here. In 1579 Příbram became a top Royal City. In the Baroque period, the Church of the Virgin Mary was built. Today it is known as the Holy Mountain. In Příbram there is a lot of beautiful sights, which are worth a visit, such as: the Holy Mountain, the Church of St. James, the Mining Museum or the Theater of A. Dvořák and many others.  There are also many schools from nursery to high school, art schools and a university. Since the beginning of 2007 we have got a modernized city ski area. Slope has a length of 320 m with one adult and one children's lift, if necessary it is artificially covered by snow. In addition, the city boasts with its first League football team 1. FK Pribram, an ice-hockey team, a rally show every autumn and a large swimming pool.

Příbram is located in the Central Bohemian Region. The first message about Příbram is from 1216. Příbram was declared a mining town in 1579. The average annual temperature in Příbram is nearly 7°C. In the summer people go to the swimming pool or play volleyball and in the winter they play ice hockey or go skiing on the local slope. Příbram takes up the area of 33,41 km2 and has an altitude of 502 m. The tallest top is Tok. In 2011 there lived nearly 34 thousand people. Today, there live 33 553 people. Places of interest in Příbram are the Holy Mountain, Ševčín Mine, the cinema and many others. These places are very interesting. In Příbram there are also a lot of bars and restaurants and you can play bowling with friends here.
